From a background in bookkeeping, Megan’s love of accounting took a stronghold around 14 years ago when she ventured out as a self-employed MYOB Certified Consultant. Even from an early age, Megan loved mathematics and was fascinated by the tax system. In her early years, she worked on the books for her father’s small business and later did her mother’s books when she went into real estate.

Megan has a total understanding of small business, having run her own roadhouse where naturally, she took care of all bookkeeping and admin needs. Megan has a passion for payroll and inventory and is excited to be part of ABBS, with the bonus of having access to a number of experts across all areas of bookkeeping.

Quick to learn any new systems that may be associated with a client’s business, Megan prides herself on her MYOB Retail Manager experience and her Vend POS background. Now a qualified QBO ProAdvisor, Megan has worked for such reputable businesses as Sound Office Solutions, Spot Newsagency and Art Supplies, Busy Bee Bookkeepers, the Bilco Group and her own Bookkeeping Consultants business.

In these positions Megan’s experience has encompassed everything from setting up invoice templates to invoicing, wages, reconciliations, superannuation, BAS, data entry and troubleshooting. Megan possesses a great attitude, is easy to get along with and has excellent communication skills. She is highly organised and meticulous in her work, always meeting deadlines without any stress.

Having gained her Certificate 1V in Financial Services (Bookkeeping) at Great Southern TAFE, Megan is very eager to help small businesses with their bookkeeping needs and can advise on general admin. Megan loves to help small businesses become organised to such an extent that all those bookkeeping and admin worries are removed, leaving the small business owners to get on with what they are good at.

Her strong suits lie in retail such as restaurants, cafes, shops and garden centres. She has had a great deal of experience with trades such as bricklayers and electricians as well as medical related practices like chiropractors, doctors and dentists.
